Advisors & Qualified Persons

Jean Luc Roy, MBA
Advisory Board

Jean Luc Roy has over 20 years experience in the Mining Industry. The majority of Mr. Roy's experience has been in Africa for companies such as International Gold Resources, Ashanti Goldfields Inc., Semafo, and First Quantum Minerals. Mr. Roy has managed projects from exploration through to production in three different countries, and has extensive experience in negotiations at all levels. Mr. Roy, as Managing Director, played a crucial role in First Quantum Minerals' success in the Democratic Republic of Congo ("DRC"), by successfully placing a mining operation into production during a period of major unrest in the country. During Mr. Roy's tenure with First Quantum Minerals, the company went from a $250 million dollar market cap to a multi-billion dollar market capitalization. Mr. Roy was also instrumental in securing First Quantum Mineral's extensive land positions in the DRC.

Jean Luc's last post was in Kinshasa for First Quantum and he has loads of experience both in dealing in the Country and in terms of contacts for us to draw on. His first recommendation, which La Quinta is acting on is to hire Philippe Nicholas.

Philippe again worked for First Quantum as Head of Security and as a Project Superintendant setting up and maintaining the various exploration camps and other working areas. We badly need someone wiht his experience so that we can get geologists ont he ground as rapidly as possible and remove the need to use a more expensive geologist as a logistics and set up man. Philipe is Belgian and was born in Lubumbashi and speaks French, reasonable english and Swahili. He will start work on single status but would then move his family to Kinshasa in late August this year. We would hope to have Philipe in Country by mid April, concentrating on the work nescessary to make a rapid start on the Kampene project and looking into what we need to do to get moving on the larger claim black assuming we have cleared up the title questions.
